There are many common metals that can be recycled. Local recycling services can handle basic household metals, like cans and aluminum foil. But, for larger pieces of scrap metal, find a local company that recycles scrap metals.

Almost all metals can be recycled. This is similar to glass in that all that needs to be done to recycle metal is purifying, remelting, and reforming. Be careful when recycling metals, however. If something has more than one type of metal in it, it may be harder to recycle. Check with your local recycling services to determine the best course of action when it comes to these materials.

Metals that cannot be recycled are toxic or radioactive metals. Toxic metals are metals like mercury, which can poison humans and other animals. Radioactive metals are not available for public use(obviously), but regardless, they cannot be recycled. Radioactive metals include Uranium, Plutonium, and other heavier and unstable elements.
